Selling Your Property, Step by Step

Selling a property is a significant endeavor, and it's wise to want to be well-informed.

Before: Making Sure You Are Well Prepared

By choosing to work with a real estate broker, you are protected by the Real Estate Brokerage Act. To prepare well, it is recommended to inform yourself about the role of the broker and particularly about their duties and obligations when selling.

During : The steps to selling

If a buyer is interested in your property after their visit, they will fill out a Purchase Offer with their broker, which will indicate the conditions under which they commit to buying your property. You can then accept their purchase offer or make a counter-proposal.

After: Following the Promise to Purchase

Once the purchase offer or counter-proposal is accepted and all conditions are met, it is necessary to formalize the transaction. This step primarily involves two actions with the notary: the examination of the titles and the drafting of the deed of sale.
